Clinical Exercise Scientist - BSc Exercise and Sport Science

Hamish is a young, enthusiastic Exercise Scientist working out of our High Performance Centre. He has a BSc in exercise and sport science and a passion for helping individuals improve their physical performance and wellbeing.

Hamish plays a key role in delivering evidence-based exercise interventions and high-performance training. His expertise covers:

  • Running fitness and exercise classes

  • Conducting VO2max and DEXA assessments

  • Providing 1-on-1 exercise and training sessions

  • Athlete Screening

High-Performance & Sports Science Background

Hamish’s career in high-performance sport has just begun. He started as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the West Perth Football Club WAFL Colts while completing his bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science at UWA.

Following this, he began his internship at the high-performance centre at West Coast Health, shadowing our former head of high-performance, developing his professional skills in this field and refining his expertise, particularly in high-performance sport and exercise assessments.

Currently, Hamish is studying an MSc in Clinical Exercise Physiology to develop his professional attributes and expand his scope of practice.
